Today marks the end of 16 weeks! Time seems like it is just flying by. We were doing our countdown for school days left and there are only 44! It feels like time is just passing us by and it's only going to continue to speed up.
No big advances with baby. I have been enjoying the nice weather and heading to the park to walk as often as possible. I have even been able to go with Mike twice over the past few days. I wish we could go walking together more often.
I decided to go for wearing the same clothing as last week to see if I noticed a difference. I really don't, but I am at that point where there in no sucking in anymore. I just let it all pop out!
all I ever needed to know I learned with a baby on board & the time after!

These times they are a changing (clothes that is)
So this weekend I took on the daunting task of switching out wardrobes. With the change in weather I thought it would be nice to see some of my favorite types of clothing in my closet. Our house is much too small to accommodate clothing for all seasons in a closet, so we must switch out seasonally and store the out of season clothes in lovely Rubbermaid tubs in the attic. Not my idea of fun having to lug those suckers up and down the attic staircase. But after thinking it through a bit, I didn't even bring down the Spring/Summer clothes from last year. Why bother? I won't be fitting into them anyways.
Luckily I have been able to find some clothes at the local Goodwills, eBay, and some consignment sales at cheap prices. My assistant principal also blessed me with two tubs full of maternity clothing that will come in great use. However, I did splurge and purchase some clothing items from Old Navy online. I received them in the mail the other day and had a fashion show for Mike, my sister, and our friend Brian. I got a thumbs up approval on all of them. It was neat to think about how that extra fabric would soon be filled with my growing belly.
So with all of these maternity clothes that I now have, I decided to put them in the closet rather than lug those tubs down. It's pretty neat to see a closet become quickly filled with clothing that will help see me through the next 5 1/2 months. Oh and I had to go out and purchase new Rubbermaid tubs to stuff my Fall/Winter clothes in because of the lack of empty tubs from a wardrobe switch.
Bring on the Spring and Summer weather. I'm ready for it :)

15 weeks down!
Here is my first of the weekly belly pictures. I am already feeling the growth as clothes are getting tighter and the scale agrees. I have even told by a few people that I look like I am showing already. I don't know how I feel about this, but there is no turning back and I will continue to see the growth cause me to no longer fit into my usual wardrobe. I'll even admit I have already worn a maternity skirt, it just feels so much more comfortable. No restriction!
It's Official!
Well the time has finally come....Mike and I are expecting the arrival of a little one! We could not be anymore excited! We have been wanting to start a family of our own for quite some time (almost two years to be exact). After many doctor's visits, testing, and some heartbreak we have come to the greatest point in our lives.
We found out at the beginning of January with a positive pregnancy test. I couldn't believe my eyes and really couldn't believe it was true till I went to the doctor that week. It had just been so hard for us, that we didn't think that it would really happen. But low and behold my first doctor's visit proved to us that there was a little one growing inside me and all signs were showing the start of a healthy pregnancy.
Mike and I got our first glimpse of B.O.B. (baby on board) on February 8th. It was such an amazing doctor's visit. When the picture of our growing child showed up on the ultrasound screen, Mike and I both broke into tears. We were just so overjoyed and relieved at the same time. B.O.B. was just a kicking and a squirming on the screen. Then the Dr. let us hear the heartbeat and we broke into more tears. What an amazing moment in our lives! At this time we were 9 weeks and decided we would continue to keep our little one a secret for the most part.
On March 14th we went for our second doctor's appointment. What a much quicker visit this was. We got in, talked to the Dr. (well not really, we just wanted to hear that heartbeat again), and then we heard that wonderful sound......thump, thump, thump, thump!!!
So I am officially through the first trimester and except for the anxiety of wanting everything to go well, I have felt great. Not a bit of morning sickness!!! Just tired, but I feel at this point I am getting over that. I have been able to stay active. I continue to jog with a walk every now and then. B.O.B. even competed in it's first 5k back in February! What a trooper, because there will be more to come :)
Our first sign!
B.O.B. at 9 weeks!
